The Glendale Fire Department announced recently that it has received more than $300,000 in grants, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department used the grant money to purchase all new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for all fire apparatus, and all new gas monitors, the department said.

“Thank you to Senator Shane Martin, and Representative Travis Moore for their assistance in State Procurement Funds,” the department said in the post. “An additional grant came from Colonial Pipeline to purchase gas monitors. Purchasing this amount of equipment would have not been feasible without assistance from these entities.”
