Break-Over RF Torque Wrenches

Irvine, CA—Pasternack Enterprises, Inc., an manufacturer and supplier of RF and microwave components, announced the release of a brand new line of Preset Break-Over RF Torque Wrenches used to precisely tighten connections between components and systems.

Pasternack Enterprises’ PE5019-XX series of break-over torque wrenches allow accurate mating force (measured in “in-lbs”) when assembling and disassembling a variety of RF coaxial connectors. The unique feature of break-over torque wrenches is that they will “break” at the pivot point once the torque value force is achieved, effectively preventing the user from over tightening the coupling nut on the connector. A broad range of break-over torque wrench sizes are available, including 1.0mm, 2.4mm, 2.92mm, 3.5mm, 7mm, SC, SMA, SMC, SSMA, SSMC, Type N and TNC connector designs. Hex (bit) sizes range from 5/32 [4.0mm] to 13/16 [20.6mm] and include 5/16, 5/8, 5/32, 1/4, 9/16, 13/16, 3/4, 6mm and 20mm mini-DIN. Preset torque values range from 2 in-lbs to 14 in-lbs depending on type and style.

Pasternack’s new RF connector torque wrenches are lab-quality tools made with a durable nickel-plated steel alloy wrench head connected to a light weight, blue anodized aluminum handle. These break-over torque wrenches are secured inside a latched and labeled wooden box for proper storage. Each calibrated torque wrench meets MIL-STE-45662 standards and comes with a Certificate of Calibration.
