A Las Vegas patient who was being transported by ambulance that rolled during an accident has died, according to authorities.
The Medic West ambulance was traveling through a red light, proceeding with caution, when a driver of a truck went through the green light and t-boned the ambulance.
Authorities said five people were in the ambulance at the time of the crash, including two Medic West employees, two North Las Vegas firefighters and the patient.
Six people, including the driver of the pick-up, were transported to local medical facilities as a result of the accident.
Authorities did not say if the patient died as a result of injuries in the crash or from the original medical episode, a heart problem.
