New Ladder Truck Joins Fire Department in MA

The city of Peabody, Massachusetts, recently added a new, custom-made, 95-foot ladder truck to its fleet of fire apparatus, according to a report from The Salem News. The truck cost the city approximately $930,000.

The report indicated that the fire department is also awaiting delivery of a new pumper truck for the Tremont Street fire station in January. BullDog Fire Apparatus in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, partnered with the city on the design and purchase of the ladder truck.

The city’s mayor Mayor Michael Bonfanti was quoted to say in the report, “Peabody continues to improve its ability to effectively and rapidly respond to emergencies of all kinds. By continuing our commitment to better equip and train our firefighters, the Peabody Fire Department will be better prepared to protect all our citizens in the event of a fire.
