Equipment Donated to Ellsworth Ambulance (WI) Service

Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service (EAAS) has accepted a donation of a Physio Control LifePak 12 Patient Monitor/Defibrillator from HealthEast Medical Transportation in support of the recent addition of a third ambulance.

The monitor/defibrillator will provide the required Advanced Life Support equipment to stock the ambulance to state standards. EAAS has added the third ambulance primarily as a back-up unit, although having the additional resource is important to support area communities and local hospitals.

EAAS is a paramedic service comprised of First Responders, EMTs, EMT-Intermediates and Paramedics. EAAS provides advanced life support ambulance coverage to the Ellsworth area, including the Village of Ellsworth, the Towns of Trimbelle, Hartland, Ellsworth and Martell, and parts of the Towns of El Paso and Salem–an area of 210 square miles.

EAAS will now have the capability to operate three advanced life support ambulances and two paramedic response vehicles from its base in Ellsworth. In 2013, EAAS responded to emergency requests including cardiac patients on numerous occasions. Additionally, EAAS continues supporting local community hospitals when emergency care and transport is requested.
