Engine 247 is a new 2020 KME Predator Severe Service rescue-pumper with an aluminum body with Amdor roll-up compartment doors.
The Berkshire (NY) Fire District had the foresight to make this unit operate in more than one capacity for the needs of the community it serves.
In 2018, the department took delivery of its newest rescue, a Spartan Gladiator ELFD with a 24” raised roof and Rescue 1 20’ walk-around heavy rescue body.
Recently the department accepted delivery of a Seagrave tractor-drawn aerial (TDA) on a Marauder chassis. The apparatus is painted black over red, and the aerial ladder is also painted black while the trailer’s compartments have roll-up doors that aren't painted.
Rescue 11 is a 2014 Sutphen rescue-pumper equipped with roll-up compartment doors, a Hale 1,750-gpm single-stage pump, and a 500-gallon water tank. The rig is powered by a Cummins ISL 6-cylinder engine and has an Allison EVS 3000 transmission.
