The Elkhart Fire Department will soon welcome a state-of-the-art aerial truck, reports WSBT 22.
The addition of the new state-of-the-art aerial ladder truck comes as the city is growing. The new truck will replace a 2011 ladder truck, which will be kept in reserve.
City firefighters will then have three ladder trucks. One truck is currently 10 years old and had replaced a truck from the 1990s.
