The Decatur City Council has approved the purchase of a 100-foot ladder fire truck, reports WCIA.com.
The fire department had an accident with a fire truck in August. Since then, Bloomington has loaned the department a replacement.
The new truck is expected next year and is expected to be a massive benefit to the fire department due to newer technology.
