The Klein Volunteer Fire Department has been renovating its fire stations, reports Beaumont Enterprise.
Fire Station 6 is the latest renovation, which includes adding living quarters. Modernizing the fire station will include adding about 11,000 square feet of living quarters. Other renovations include an alarm system, a sprinkler system and a communications system that will cost roughly $3.5 million.
Previously, Stations 2 and 4, and all of Station 3 was rebuilt to include living quarters. The newest station, Station 8, was built three years ago and also has a living quarters.
