The Henderson (NV) Fire Department recently opened a brand new station, Station 85.
The new station will provide service to about 25,000 residents. It is an 11,500-square-foot building that includes three apparauts bays, training facilities, equipment, and storage areas. It can accommodate 11 firefighters.
Apparatus assigned to the station include an engine, an ALS ambulance, and an all-terrain response vehicle to reach injured hikers. The station is staffed by six crew members 24 hours per day.
