Parma (OH) Fire Department Using Grant for Fire Equipment

The fire department is using a FEMA Grant for a exhaust and cascade systems, reports cleveland.com.

The FEMA grant will cover 90 percent of the $105,000 expenditure, with the city responsible for the balance.

Safety is the biggest factor regarding the need for the vehicle exhausts systems. The other FEMA grant is being used to purchase a new cascade system, which puts oxygen into SCBA cylinders for firefighter use.
