Porterville (CA) Fire Department Welcomes Cal-OES Fire Apparatus

Porterville Fire Department (PFD) Station 72 now has Cal-OES (California Office of Emergency Services) Fire Engine, reports The Porterville Recorder.

The truck has a lime green paint job, distinguishing it from the PFD’s regular engines.

Although the engine comes at no cost to the city, there’s a mutual understanding the engine can be called to respond to statewide emergencies. When it’s not being used to assist a state emergency, the engine serves as a reserve for the City of Porterville.
