Video: Glendale (CA) Fire Department Pierce 107-Foot Ascendant Tiller

Glendale Fire Department’s Pierce Arrow XT 107-foot heavy-duty Ascendant Tiller features flashing lights on the interior of the cab doors for increased safety. As there isn’t a need for floor heaters in Southern California, compartments were customized to store radio equipment. Additional compartmentation was added to the top of the cab for map and binder storage.  Due to tight city streets, the body features roll-up doors for easy access. The body compartmentation consists of one-way, two-way, and tilt-down slide-out trays, tool boards, Pac Trac equipment mounting, air bag slots, bottle holders, and mounting provisions. The rig will carry a complement of (11) Alaco wooden ladders, totaling 22 feet’.
