HME Delivers Silverfox™ Fire Apparatus to Muncie (IN) Fire Department



WYOMING, MI—The Muncie (IN) Fire Department in Munice, Indiana has recently taken delivery of an all-new HME Silverfox™ fire apparatus. It’s built on an HME 1871-SFO custom chassis and comes equipped with a Cummins ISC 8.3 330-hp diesel engine.

This rescue-pumper also includes an 1,000-gallon tank with thru storage, exclusive 52-degree cramp angle, HME Hydra Technology™ with 1,250-gpm performance, a tire speed rating of 75 mph, premium cooling system hoses, an aluminum 96-inch wide cab with a 12-inch raised roof, pushbutton transmission selector, three-dimensional stainless front grille, cab tilt, heated and remote controlled moto-mirrors, center hosewell, 47-inch side-mount pump enclosure, brushed stainless steel pump panel finish, 1.5-inch front jumpline, two crosslay beds, Hale FoamLogix 2.1 foam system with a 30-gallon class A tank, 63-inch hosebed height, adjustable hosebed dividers, roll-up doors, adjustable shelving, toolboards, and a cab to fit a crew of six.
