New Ambulance Added to Braun FDIC 2013 Lineup

VAN WERT, OH—Custom ambulance manufacturer, Braun Industries, announced it is replacing one of its customer units with a different vehicle at the upcoming FDIC 2013. The Navistar booth, #5345, will now feature a Braun ambulance from St. Johns (FL) Fire Rescue Division.

The St. Johns Fire Rescue Division ambulance is a Chief XL on a 2013 International TerraStar chassis. The ambulance is a 166-inch module with 72 inches of headroom. It features a Whelen LED lighting package, Vanner Inverter 20-1050CUL, aluminum cabinets, custom 02 storage, transverse background storage, Norcold fridge unit, and Hanson interior assist handles.

The 2013 International TerraStar it’s built on has a 183-inch wheelbase. The custom chassis features an ambulance prep package. The chassis also includes an Allison 1000 EVS, IROS rear suspension, OEM-installed Grover air horns, OEM aluminum wheels, and 18,000-pound GVWR.

Braun Industries is extremely thankful for the cooperation of St. Johns County in lending their ambulance to them on such short notice. The Fire Rescue Division handles all calls for emergency medical services and events involving fire suppression activities in St. Johns County by St. Augustine, Florida. Response is separated into six geographical districts, with personnel divided between three 24 hours shifts. The department’s local Braun ambulance dealer is Ten-8 Fire Equipment.
