Los Angeles County CA Fire Chief Requesting New Fire Apparatus

Los Angeles County (CA) Chief Daryl Osby is requesting that the Board of Supervisors grant permission to spend $5 million on new fire trucks.

Osby wants to buy two big quint-type ladder/fire suppression trucks at a cost of $1 million each, and seven new water pumpers for $440,000 each.

He made a similar purchase last year from KME Fire Apparatus of Nesquehoning, (PA). He says KME has agreed not to raise prices this year.
