Extrication Tools In Service for I-95 Rollover

Delray Beach (FL) Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle rollover in the southbound lanes of I-95 where Initial crews arrived to find an approximately 30-year-old female trapped in her vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side. The Delray Beach Fire-Rescue Special Operations team was dispatched and used its Res-Q-Jack to stabilize the vehicle. Once stabilized,hydraulic cutters and spreaders (Jaws of Life) were used to extricate the patient.

Once the patient was free from the vehicle, she was transported to Delray Medical Center as a BLS patient with non-life threatening injuries.

Units responding to this accident were Battalion 1, EMS 1, Special Operations Captain, Operations Chief, Ladder 5, Special Operations 5, Medic 5, Squirt 1, and Medic 1.
