E-ONE Receives Contract for 10 ARFF Units

Issue 4 and Volume 15.

E-ONE has been awarded a contract for ten Titan Force 4×4 Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles valued at more than $7.5 million.

The ARFF units were ordered by the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) contracting center on behalf of the Government of Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense.

“We are very proud and honored to continue providing emergency vehicles to the Kuwaiti government,” said R.J. Jones, E-ONE sales manager for the U.S. government and ARFF product line. “The Titan Force 4×4 is designed with the latest technologies available and provides the ultimate firefighting capabilities under some of the toughest conditions worldwide.”

The new ARFF units feature 1,585-gallon water tanks, 205 gallons of foam and 500 pounds of dry chemical. The units are built to exceed the latest National Fire Protection Association 414 requirements in extinguishment, stability and off-road performance while offering one of the safest cabs in the industry.

Another recent TACOM purchase was a 2009 order for 11 Titan Force 6×6 ARFF units on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency. Those vehicles are being delivered to the U.S. Army Multi-National Forces to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.

E-ONE, based in Ocala, Fla., is a leading manufacturer of first responder vehicles. For information, go to www.e-one.com.
