Permalight Parat X-treme Flashlights

Issue 8 and Volume 14.

The Parat X-treme flashlights and penlights by Permalight are modular-design safety lights that comply with the latest ATEX and IECEx norms and standards. The Parat X-treme helmet-mounted and hand-held lights are intended for operation in and around hazardous explosive gas (Zone 1) and dust (Zone 21) environments.

The safety lights allow for interchangeable light sources, either LED or xenon. LED PCB boards incorporate the latest SMD technology. The Parat PX 1 Model includes a unique “bi-polar” power management that allows alkaline batteries to be inserted in series regardless of their polarities.

The PX 1 lights are available in anti-static conductive XAG or in non-conductive PC. An aerospace-grade reinforced polymer of exceptional hardness, XAG shields from electro-magnetic interference, radio frequency interference and electrostatic discharge.

All flashlights are IP 68-certified. Bezels are o-ring, and on/off switches are hermetically sealed against gas and dust penetration. Housing is built to resist water immersion of up to 3m.

Available accessories include traffic wand, fibre optic attachments, holsters, helmet mounts and more. Recommended batteries have been tested and certified by an authorized UK test laboratory.

Permalight (Asia) designs and produces Pila tactical and Parat X-treme safety lights. The company also engineers custom-made lights and modules for special applications. Permalight is Swiss-managed with headquarters and production facilities in China. Production facilities are ISO 9001-, ATEX- and IECEx-inspected and certified.
