Thomson Becomes VP At PL Custom
Deborah Smock Thomson has been promoted to executive vice president of PL Custom Body & Equipment Co., Inc., which has been owned by the Smock family since 1970.
Thomson joined the business in 1978 under the guidance of her father, Martin “Bud” Smock, who passed away in 2006.
“In her new position, Deborah will take a more active roll in company decisions, insuring that the company remains committed to Bud Smock’s vision,” said Jean Smock, CEO and owner of the business. Robert Stevenson will remain in his position as president, she said.
Robinson Joins Elkhart As Manager
Dave Robinson has accepted the position of industrial sales manager for the U.S. division of Elkhart Brass. Working with the engineering team, he will focus on sales of industrial systems and remote control monitor systems.
Robinson has 25 years experience in the industrial fire sector. He served most recently as national account manager with the government sales division of Hagemeyer. For ten years he was a fire safety inspector, and he also served as instructor with a number of private industrial fire schools.
Hannay Hires Bleile As Sales Manager
Denis Bleile has been appointed sales manager at Hannay Reels, replacing Dave Guilzon, who retired after 39 years of service.
Guilzon, who helped develop many new products, spent most of his career in Hannay’s sales department, with 12 years as manager.
Bleile joins Hannay with a background in OEM sales and 25 years experience in the industrial sector. His stated aim is to spearhead market expansion, lead the sales team through the challenges of the current economy and offer unmatched after-the-sale customer support.
