Superior Signals Adds New Strobe And Alarm Systems

Issue 3 and Volume 12.

Superior Signals, Inc., is adding two new products to its lines of synchronized strobe and alarm systems.

One is the SY9340 Series of strobe mini bars, and the other is the Safe-T-Alert 2200 Series of forward horns.

The SY9340 mini bars feature two, 10-joule, quad flash potted strobes with a center mounted diamond-shaped mirror that enhances the flash. The mini bars measure 18 inches long by 7.75 inches wide by 5.62 inches high for maximum visibility, according to the company. They have a polycarbonate lens and base that can be permanently mounted or provided with a magnetic mount.

The mini bars use a DC power source from 12 to 24 volts and an amp draw of 4.5 at 12 volts DC. The SY9340 Series has a one-year warranty.

The Safe-T-Alert 2200 Series forward horns measure 4 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 3.25 inches high and produce a 107 dB continuous tone. They are built with encapsulated solid state electronics and are approved for industry standards. The horns feature a black ABS housing and, according to the company, survive in operating temperatures reaging from minus 40 degrees to 165 degrees Fahrenheit and operate with voltages from 12 to 48, requiring only an input current of 0.4 amps at 28 volts DC.
