Hankins Joins Hurst As Hydraulics VP

Jack Hankins, a fire, rescue and safety industry veteran, has joined Hurst Jaws of Life as vice president of the North American hydraulic equipment group. He is based at Hurst’s facilities in Shelby, N.C., and is responsible for all aspects of the business.

Before joining Hurst, Hankins spent 25 years with Scott Health & Safety, a Tyco International business unit, most recently serving as that company’s global sales and marketing vice president. Previously, he was managing director for Scott’s two European companies.

“Jack’s extensive knowledge of the industry and track record as a leader are key to the development and implementation of our strategic plans for continuous product innovation, market share expansion, and operational excellence,” stated Uwe Kirchner, President of the Hydraulic Equipment Group. “We are excited about the added dimension that Jack brings to the business.”

Hankins has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Troy State University and completed coursework for an MBA at The University of West Florida.

Hurst Jaws of Life is a division of Hale Products Inc. a unit of IDEX Corporation, a leading provider of emergency service products for the fire and rescue services.
