Fire-Dex, a manufacturer of quality protective firefighting clothing and emergency response apparel, announced a record year in 2006, marking the eighth consecutive year of double-digit growth.
In 2006, the company made strides in providing added value to its product line and received ISO 17025 accreditation for its technology laboratory which opened in April 2005. The company says the accreditation is a critical step in gaining full certification by Underwriters’ Laboratories to bring National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)-approved testing in house.
Fire-Dex manufactures NFPA compliant structural and proximity turnout gear, including a line of Express Gear which promises five styles of gear delivered in five days or less.
The company also manufactures two models of NFPA-compliant ParaDex emergency medical service (EMS) gear and is the only turnout maker to manufacture compliant hoods and gloves.
