Allen Baldwin
THE ROAD WARRIOR

Allen Baldwin is the manager of operations and incident response for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and a volunteer assistant chief with the Gettysburg (Pa.) Fire Department. He has been a firefighter and EMT for over 25 years, served as chief of the Chambersburg (Pa.) Fire Department and is an instructor with the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and several community colleges.

Brian Brown is bureau chief of fleet services for the South Metro (Colo.) Fire Rescue Authority. He has over 30 years experience in fleet services, with more than 20 years in fire apparatus fleet services, and is a former president of the Colorado Fire Mechanics Association. Dominic Colletti is the author of two books – "The Compressed Air Foam Systems Handbook" and "Class A Foam – Best Practice For Structure Firefighters." He is a former assistant fire chief and serves on the technical committee of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1500 Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program. He is a fire instructor with over 20 years of CAFS firefighting experience.

Gary Handwerk is engineering manager for Hale Products. He has been involved with the fire service industry for more than 38 years, working for various fire apparatus and pump manufacturers. He has been a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Apparatus Standards Committee for more than 18 years.

Raul A. Angulo, a veteran of the Seattle Fire Department and captain of Ladder Company 6, has more than 30 years in the fire service. He is on the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters. He lectures on fire service leadership, company officer development and fireground strategy and accountability throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

KEEPING IT SAFE

Robert Tutterow, who has 30 years in the fire service, is the Charlotte (N.C.) Fire Department health and safety officer. He is a former member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Department Apparatus Committee and is on two other NFPA committees, the Structural and Proximity Firefighting Protective Ensemble Technical Committee and the Technical Correlating Committee for Fire and Emergency Services PPE.

Bob Barraclough
APPARATUS IDEAS

Bob Barraclough, chief columnist for Fire Apparatus & Emergency Equipment magazine and past president of the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers' Association (FAMA), passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011. 
He was 70 years old.

Bob was a 50-year veteran of the fire service and fire manufacturing industry. He was a 20-year member of the NFPA 1901 Fire Apparatus Standards Committee. He was also a principal organizer of the annual FDSOA Apparatus Specification Symposium. Barraclough served as a consultant to Rosenbauer America and was called upon as an expert witness in litigation involving fire industry products. His career included executive positions at E-ONE, Hale Fire Pumps, National Foam, Span Instruments and Class 1.

Carl Haddon
TO THE RESCUE

Carl Haddon is the director of Five Star Fire Training LLC, which is sponsored in part by Volvo North America. He serves as assistant chief and fire commissioner for the North Fork Fire Department in Idaho and is a career veteran of more than 25 years in the fire and EMS services in southern California. He has also served since the 1980s as a fire/safety director for numerous racing organizations, including Penske Motorsports, NASCAR, USAC and Mickey Thompson Racing. He is a certified Level 2 fire instructor, an ISFSI member and teaches 5 Star Auto Extrication and NFPA 610 classes across the country.

Richard Marinucci is chief of the Northville Township (Mich.) Fire Department. He retired as chief of the Farmington Hills (Mich.) Fire Department in 2008, a position he had held since 1984. He is a past president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) and past chairman of the Commission on Chief Fire Officer Designation. In 1999 he served as acting chief operating officer of the U.S. Fire Administration for seven months. He holds three bachelor’s degrees in fire science and administration and has taught extensively

Will Chapleau, who has more than 30 years of EMS experience, is the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program manager for the American College of Surgeons. He is the former chief of the Chicago Heights (Ill.) Fire Department, has served since 1996 as the chairperson for the Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) program of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and has been a member of its international faculty since 1984.
