Clinton, Tenn., Takes Delivery Of Three Ferrara Pumpers

Clinton (Tenn.) Fire Department recently took delivery of three Ferrara Fire Apparatus custom chassis rescue pumpers. The total value of the delivery was approximately $850,000, according to the company.

Each unit is powered by a Cummins 330-hp engine and is equipped with a Waterous 1,500-gpm pump.

The medium four-door, raised-roof cabs all have in-cab medical compartments and four-position intercom systems.

The bodies are heavy-duty extruded aluminum with full-height, 25-inch deep compartments on both sides. A variety of pull-out tool boards, adjustable shelves and roll-out trays are installed in the compartments. Each unit is equipped with hose, nozzles, appliances, generators and other assorted equipment.

The city of Clinton, located approximately 15 minutes north of Knoxville, has a growing commercial and industrial development area around Interstate 75. The Clinton Fire Department protects a population of 13,000 residents spread out over 30 square miles.
