Five Star Fire, a distributor of fire apparatus and emergency equipment, said it has been awarded the distribution rights for SVI Trucks for southern New England.
"We are extremely pleased to have been selected to represent the SVI product in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island," said Five Star Fire Sales Manager Jim Lyons. "SVI has long been known for producing top quality rescue, hazmat, command and rescue pumper vehicles."
SVI Trucks, located in Loveland, Colo., entered the market of custom-built fire/rescue apparatus in 1971 and also manufactures rescue boats.
"We feel the professional sales and service Five Star provides will enhance our presence in New England," said Bill Wood, eastern sales administrator for SVI Trucks.
