A firefighter wearing FX Gear competes in the FDIC challenge.
More than 90 percent of firefighters polled at the Fire Department Instructors Conference this spring said Fire-Dex FX Gear has better dexterity than their current gear.
Fire-Dex dared firefighters at FDIC to “Take the Fire-Dex Challenge” by trying lightweight, flexible FX Gear and racing an opponent in an obstacle course. Almost 1,000 participants took the challenge and filled out a short survey. Firefighters who participated became eligible to win the “Heat of the Battle II,” Fire-Dex’s custom-built Orange County Chopper and a Paul Teutul, Sr. autographed set of turnout gear.
“We knew once firefighters tried our FX Gear on, the innovative developments in comfort technology would stand out,” said Fire-Dex President Bill Burke.
Fire-Dex, located in Medina, Ohio, makes quality protective firefighting clothing and emergency response apparel.
