In an attempt to keep up with the increased demand for its automatic tire chain systems, Onspot of North America, Inc. is expanding its manufacturing plant located in North Vernon, Ind., for a second time in five years, announced Onspot's President Patrick Freyer.
"We are not only adding to the building, we are purchasing a second plasma machine which cuts out the major components of the Onspot system," Freyer said.
Onspot chain systems are currently available from over 150 original equipment manufacturers as a factory option and from over 900 dealers throughout North America.
The product allows the operator to engage and disengage tire chains with the flip of a switch, without stopping, to enhance traction in snow and ice, in forward or reverse.
Onspots can be adapted to most trucks from half ton to Class 8 trucks and trailers.
